Founded in 1937 in the old Pimatgol alleys, Cheongjinok is one of Seoul's oldest restaurants and the place credited with popularising haejangguk, the morning-after hangover stew. Run by three generations of the same family, it simmers beef bones for over a day into a rich broth with tripe, intestines and seonji (blood pudding).
