Seoullo 7017 is a 1,024-metre elevated linear park built on the former Seoul Station Overpass, a 1970 highway closed and converted into a pedestrian skygarden that opened in May 2017. About 17 metres above ground, it holds some 24,000 plants in circular concrete planters and links 17 walkways connecting Seoul Station, Namdaemun and the surrounding streets. The name encodes '70' for the 1970 overpass and '17' for the 2017 reopening.
