Euljiro is Jung-gu's old printing, lighting and hardware district that, since the mid-2010s, filled with cafés, speakeasy-style bars and galleries tucked inside ageing industrial buildings — earning the nickname 'Hip-jiro.' The draw is the contrast of new and old: unmarked upper-floor bars, machine-shop alleys by day, and neon-lit crowds by night around landmarks like Daerim Sangga and the Sewun elevated walkway.
