Nami Island

A half-moon-shaped island on the Bukhan River, reached by a short ferry from the Gapyeong wharf. Its straight rows of metasequoia and tree-lined lanes turn gold and red in autumn and white under winter snow, made famous by the drama Winter Sonata. You can walk, cycle or ride the little island train between gardens and riverside cafés.
