At Yangsu-ri the Bukhangang and Namhangang rivers merge into the broad Han, and the spot has become Korea's favourite riverside for misty sunrises and slow strolls. A centuries-old zelkova tree, wooden jetties and a big empty 'photo frame' draw photographers and drama crews alike; the adjoining Semiwon lotus garden peaks in summer. It's an easy, romantic half-day from the city.
