Olympic Park

Built for the 1988 Seoul Olympics, this vast park blends sports arenas with rolling lawns, a sculpture park of 200-plus works and the earthen ramparts of the 1,700-year-old Mongchon Fortress. Its famous 'lonely tree' on a grassy knoll is a photo pilgrimage, and rose gardens, festivals and museums fill out an easy half-day.
