For generations the heart of Seoul's traditional art trade, Insadong's main street and its capillary lanes brim with antique shops, galleries, calligraphy brushes, hanji paper and old-style tea houses. The spiralling Ssamziegil mall packs in craft studios, and weekends bring street performers and snacks. It's the easiest place to shop for a handmade souvenir.
